- Focus on sustainability
AfK-Nr. 741
In this B2/C1 level intensive English course you will have the opportunity to train and expand your academic English skills. What makes this course unique? The SDGs! All course topics are centred around the 17 “Sustainable Development Goals” (SDGs) of the United Nations. Since the SDGs span a wide range of disciplines, students from all majors are welcome. As the primary focus will be on language learning, you do not need any prior knowledge about sustainability to take part.
Throughout the intensive course, you will have various opportunities to train your listening, reading, writing and speaking skills while expanding both your general and academic vocabulary. Grammar will be addressed as needed. Though some of the topics will be selected by the lecturer, participants will also be encouraged – and required – to bring in topics from their own field of study. At the end of the course, students will be asked to give an SDG-themed presentation related to their field of study as well as to submit a written reflection task or portfolio.
