Englisch B2.3: Grammar in Context

"English B2.3: Grammar in Context" is a refresher course. It seeks to review the rules of key grammatical structures, and - most importantly - to provide opportunities to practise these structures in meaningful and relevant communicative contexts. The course covers all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing).

 

Intended learning outcomes

Using English at B1/B2 level, by the end of the course you will be able to

  • talk about past events, experiences, habits, current activities and trends using the correct tense
  • talk about hypothetical situations and regrets using a conditional
  • talk about processes using the passive voice
  • speculate about (the reasons for) present and past events using modal verbs
  • describe people/things using relative clauses

Further topics will be covered on an as-needed basis.

 

Admission requirement: successful completion of a B2.2-level English course at the ZfbK or level 61-67 in our online placement test

Credit points: 2

Credit requirements: active participation, regular homework assignments, end-of-term exam
